What Lexus Car Parts Need Replacement?

At Lexus of Pembroke Pines, we want you to feel like you’re empowered when it comes to the long-term life of your car. When it comes to Lexus parts, it’s good to know what will need replacing and when, so you can get the most out of your Lexus car.

Here’s a maintenance overview for your Lexus, including what car parts will likely need replacing.

What Can I Check & When?

Twice a year, check out the hoses on your radiator, heater, and air conditioning. Evaluate your windshield wipers and spray component; changing your windshield wiper blades is an easy task, even for the novice.

Also check your seatbelts, your headlights, muffler, and exhaust pipes. Replace anything that’s wearing down or about to wear out.

Every year or so, check and clean all the exterior drains on your car’s body. Lubricate all the door and hood hinges, check the transmission lubrication and have it changed out. Check and clean the battery and terminal connections, check your brake fluid level.

Oil Changes

The core of your Lexus service remains the same: keeping up with regular oil changes. For years, the common wisdom held that you must change your oil every 3,000 miles. With updates and advances in synthetic engine lubricants, this advice has been modified.

It is now recommended that you have your oil changes every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for optimal engine function. Fresh oil helps keep your motor well-lubricated and keeps the parts from wearing each other down too fast.

Long Term Service Tiers & Tires

Beyond regular maintenance and service checks, there are other tiers of long-term service that are important to keep in mind. At 20,000, 40,000, and 60,000 miles, you’ll need to check and replace the following:

  • air filter
  • brake lines and hoses
  • inspect transmission
  • inspect all steering components
  • inspect exhaust components
  • inspect ball joints and dust covers

Also, keep an eye on your tires. The tires should be rotated every 20,000 to 30,000 miles, to prevent uneven wear and extend their longevity.

Schedule a service visit at Lexus of Pembroke Pines today and we’ll make replace whatever is wearing out. You’ll be back on the road in no time!
